UE Katowice offers a combined educational and research opportunities through our quantitative tutoring program. These semester-long internships give students the opportunity to analyze a specific research problem. Interns will work under the supervision of the professor and contribute to the research activities of UE Katowice. The tasks may be specified as follow:
1. Being familiar with key concepts related to the research
2. Analysis of source materials
3. Developing a path of conduct (work plan)
4. Data verification
5. Detailed development or selection of research tools.
6. Organization of empirical research.
7. Analysis of the obtained research material.
8. Methods of presenting results

- Validate the prediction for the company’s portfolio consumption and generation.
- Analysis of the deviations between the prediction and the real consumption/generation.
- Manage the Representation of RES plants.
- Follow the regulatory change and updates in the Electricity System.
- Collaboration on European Innovation Projects carried out by the Company.
Responsabilities:
- Manage the daily purchase and sell of energy in the Spanish Wholesale Market.
- Perform the procedures to represent the RES plant and the control of the operation.

Profile of the wanted intern:
Degree in Industrial Engineering.
Knowledge in:
- Python and R.
- Database consulting: MySQL, SQLServer and MongoDB.
Experience in the electricity sector will be valued but it is not mandatory.
Skills: high organization capacitive, proactive and resourceful.
