The Professional Module allows to fill in the skills gap of the professionals actually operating in the energy sector, supporting a clean transformation of the sector thanks to the knowledge of (i) energy economics, focusing on the analysis of market characteristics, market failures and the conditions for price volatility, under different climate policy scenarios, (ii) financial metrics and methods to assess the exposure of energy companies to climate physical and transition risks as well as their impact on the EU2030 climate and energy targets, (iii) economic models to assess the impact of low-carbon energy transition policies on the performance of energy sector and of the real economy, (iv) financial econometrics and mathematics, to analyse the risk-return characteristics of green financial instruments (e.g. green bonds), and to assess the performance of portfolios that shift their exposure from carbon-intense to renewable energy sources; carbon stranded assets and financial systemic risk.
Professionals/managers attending the professional module will be awarded a certificate, with the logo of the issuing institutions, describing the skills and competences acquired. Administrative staffs will be consulted in order to call for a compliance to the ECVET policy.
