BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

The Technical University of Crete (TUC) is a rather new Academic Institution; however, a fast growing university, which consists of five Schools. TUC was established in 1977 and admitted students for the first time in Fall of 1984. TUC encompasses 57 laboratories with excellent infrastructure, which are spread over the different schools. The school of Production Engineering and Management (PEM) (https://www.pem.tuc.gr) will be in charge of the work to be undertaken within the proposed project. PEM school of TUC, is the first and largest academic unit in Greece for production engineering and management studies. The School of PEM has coordinated or participated in a considerable number of successful projects, in collaboration with European and Mediterranean Partner Country institutions. The research projects are mainly funded by the European Commission, and some by the Greek Government and non-governmental institutions. The primary pursuit of the School is to develop applied research projects in collaboration with industry and enterprises, aiming at their improvement, growth, development and modernization.

HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS

The organisation agrees to:
1. Support the dissemination and exploitation of the GrEnFIn project activities and results
2. Support the Project consortium in the identification of specific needs of the Energy Sector
3. Support the Project consortium giving advise and proposing adjustment of the course and the professional module
4. Participating in the Summer Schools to give specialized lectures or seminars in related fields

In line with the key elements of the Innovation Union and the EU Higher Education Modernisation Agenda, the GrEnFIn Erasmus+/Knowledge Alliance project aims to provide the Energy Sector's stakeholders (energy providers, private companies, research institutes) the figure of the Sustainable Energy experts professional, i.e. European high skilled professionals capable to face the changing challenges in the field with an inclusive global logic. Its main expected results are the development of an innovative Joint Master Degree in the Green Energy and Finance targeting young students, but also a Professional Module to train companies' staff and experts already active in the labor market.
